Slowly but surely over the last two years I have got increasingly more confident about my abilty as a writer and in particular as a screenwriter. Last autumn when I first became aware of The London Screenwriters Festival I thought it was a level beyond me and something I could never attain.
But now I have a marketing company asking me to script and storyboard a corporate video for them and I am almost finished the re-writes of my first feature film ‘Geraldine’, so I think I am well able for #londonswf !!
So I have applied online and am now registered. There will be 500 screenwriters and one hundred speakers over 3 amazing days! The writer of the New Brigid Jones: Baby will be there and I can get the chance to pitch my movie script to producers and directors!! Me? Really me!!!
So onwards and upwards. Every year I say ‘this is going to me my year’ and it ends with me getting made redundant, illness in the house or some other mini family disaster. But this year with it being 2013 I may just have some slim possibility that everything is going to work out well this year. Whisper it mind….
