Had the most wonderful day on the beach ever! We picked kids up after school and headed for Portmarnock.
As usual I had brought everything with me – wind breaker, chairs, rugs, inflatable beach toys, snacks and body boards.
So after each kid was given a small load to carry – off we set.
I had never been to Portmarnock beach before, well I had driven past it, but never been on it. It was continental yesterday!
As my friend and I watched the kids body boarding and burying each other in sand it quickly came back to me how relaxing the waves and the sun are.
We just gazed out to sea and relaxed -bliss!
On the way home we went via Howth and had fish and chips from Beshoff’s – could a day at the beach get any better?
Only thing missing was Robert who was too unwell to leave the house. Roll on heart proceedure.
