Last night at 9pm I got a call from someone I had lost touch with for years. It was completly out if the blue. After two hours chatting I asked her how she had found me? There is talk if redundancy in her work in a rural office in Aviva and she googled redundancy and Ireland and up I popped.
Then she called directory enquiries and hoped I was still in the same town – and here I was.
That is the first time I have been in touch with someone who read my blog.
She had read I was going to Cobh (was Queenstown in 1912) and wanted to invite me in for tea and meet my kids enroute.
Sadly I havent been able to get tickets for The Titanic Comemoration- but we will meet up over the summer 🙂
So do you think that finding old friends is an indirect result of redundancy? Whatever is the cause I am delighted to receive a call on a rainy sunday night from a lost, but great friend.
