Another great day off with the kids. One of the huge benefits of redundancy is no child care issues – ever.
Today we went to Winter Wonderland in Kilmainham in Dublin. We bought vouchers for all the rides when we arrived and instead of the usual endless demands for more money. I told them how many vouchers we had, and when we came off each ride I asked them to re-calculate – we completely avoided any flare ups, and they decided which last few rides we went on.
Aoife drove like a maniac in the dodgems as Charlie sat beside her- peeping through his hands at each imminent crash!
We had food in a huge warm tent, suitably warmed we headed to an old fashioned helter skelter, and finally to the ice rink.
We had the best evening, the kids are growing do much, and I am enjoying every extra day off I spend with them.
