I know it was never common knowledge that Santa had a son, in the same kind of way we never knew Jesus had a brother James. Well, rest easy, as I now have in my possession photographic proof, that Santa has offspring.
As it nears Christmas, any good farmer will tell you, animal husbandry is key in the colder months. So its critical that Santa keeps a close eye on the reindeer in the month of December.
I am pleased to tell you, that we saw the Claus family, doing just that this weekend. I know Phoenix Park in Dublin is a long way from the North Pole, but with 3000 acres, it’s the largest city park in Europe – so it makes perfect sense to any Irish person, that Santa would keep his reindeer in Dublin.
On Sunday 10th December, the frost was just melting as we drove through the park. Out of nowhere we saw The Claus family walk slowly, through their herd of reindeer. Luckily Robert had his camera phone to hand, and we captured their preparation.
Please share with your children to prove that all is on schedule – the countdown can begin!
Funny, there must be more reindeer’s all over Dublin? As we drove home, we discovered some of Santa’s extended family looking after their reindeer, on the beach, in fields and on coastal paths – funny really I never realised reindeer were so environmentally versatile?
